Domain Join Failed - "Access is denied error"

You will get the following error when try to log in into the server

The join operation was not successful. This could be because an existing computer account having name “<computer name” was previously created using a different set of credentials. Use a different computer name, or contact your administrator to remove any stale conflicting account. The error was:
Access is denied.




 If you search the computer name in "AD Users & Computers " this computer will not be available 

Symptom:

 1. The client can not join to the domain and you will get

2.Can not take DSA.MSC from non domain controllers servers or desktops

3. Can not login in to the Terminal serve remotely and you get "Access denied" error
 

Solution:

 

To resolve this issue we need to delete following registry key and restart the server

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM \CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\DefaultSecurity\SrvsvcDefaultShareInfo
